Comundo.io Website
Purpose
This project aimed to build a new website for Comundo, a company specialized in CO2 calculations. Comundo had internally developed a new visual identity to be reflected on the new website.
Project description
The project was based on a design prepared by their own brand lead. A decision had been made on both a mobile and desktop design, which Creative Oak of course accommodated. Previously, Comundo had used Wordpress for their website, but were unhappy with the existing solution. Therefore, they contacted Creative Oak and we advised them to build the new website in Webflow.
The project evolved so that, in collaboration with Comundo's own brand team, a new website was designed that worked optimally on both small and large screens. The style, reminiscent of a “Swiss Style” form, was constructed with sharp edges and boxes to create structure and clarity in the visual hierarchy.
One of the more unique tasks involved the preparation of a glossary intended to describe some of the more complex elements of CO2 calculations. This glossary can be found hereto. In addition to the possibility of opening the chords with the descriptions, users should also have the ability to search and want to get answers directly on the same page. This posed a programming engineering challenge, but was solved through creative use of JavaScript.
During the collaboration, we were included in the team's internal Slack channel, enabling direct and informal contact between us and the customer. This was a crucial linchpin of our collaboration as it ensured fast and direct communication.
Conclusion
In general, the cooperation with Comundo was incredibly rewarding, hopefully for both parties, and we received the following opinion upon completion of the work:
“Would absolutely work with Creative Oak again. Not only did they build our new website for us, they also suggested a new CMS they believed would match our needs more than the one we were currently using, and absolutely nailed it. They were patient, knowledgeable and skilled and it was a real pleasure working with them.”
